To follow the rapid developments in parallel and distributed systems and software and to reflect the state-of-the-art of new products in these areas, we have decided to create a section devoted to software reviews. This section provides an ideal forum for software developers, users and reviewers to exchange technical information and software development experience as well as to comment on new products, problems, trends and directions of software technology for parallel and distributed computing.
The scope of the Software Review covers, but is not limited to, the following aspects:
Both review articles and software products are sought. Authors of review articles should send three hard-copies of the submission. Authors of software products wishing their products to be reviewed and published in Scalable Computing: Practice and Experience should submit materials containing detailed product information and user's guide together with a trial copy of the software for evaluation including names and contact information of two potential reviewers for the product. All submissions should be sent to either of software review editors: Hong Shen or Domenico Talia
We are currently forming a Board of Reviewers for the section. Anyone who wishes to serve on the Board should send a short biography and contact information (postal, e-mail and fax) to to either of the above editors.
