Infrastructures and Algorithms for Scalable Computing

The data-intensive computation potential has reached the exascale magnitude. The hunger for scalable computing brought new set of issues that should be solved by the researchers. Among them there is a need of highly-efficient algorithms to solve the large-scale problems, as well as future generation underlying infrastructures. Both the algorithms and infrastructures are drivers for technology development. Specifically, in most cases, infrastructures “push” the technology, while algorithms “pull” it. However, many algorithms are infrastructure-agnostic and vice-versa.

The Special Issue on Infrastructures and Algorithms for Scalable Computing is to target gap between algorithms and infrastructures and expose scientific research on advances in latest algorithms and infrastructures geared towards exascale computing.

Original and unpublished works on any of the topics aforementioned or related are welcome. The SCPE journal has a rigorous peer-reviewing process and papers will be reviewed by at least two referees.
