Introduction

Security stands as a paramount concern within the realm of scalable computing. The rapid progress witnessed in Information and Communication Technologies has intensified the demand for robust security solutions. As the importance of security grows, it parallels a corresponding rise in both the frequency and severity of cyberattacks. This challenge is geared towards confronting the pivotal facet of security in our automated world while furnishing steadfast solutions. This special issue serves as a preeminent global platform for computer and network security experts and users alike, fostering the exploration of ingenious concepts, tangible outcomes, and the exchange of experiences across the spectrum of information security.

In the heart of all intricate applications lies the bedrock of innovative research across the practical domains of scalable computing. Contributions from academia, government, and industry spheres are earnestly encouraged. The primary objective of this special issue is to encapsulate insights, chart new trajectories, and introduce novel methodologies that lead to achievements and futuristic prospects in network security. In line with this vision, we extend an invitation to authors to share their original contributions spanning diverse arenas within secure network engineering and network engineering methods. This encompasses techniques, tools, applications, and empirical studies that intersect with the landscape of scalable computing.

The special issue aims to present a collection of high-quality research papers on the state-of-the-art in emerging technologies for the applications of recent trends in the Secure Solutions for Network in Scalable Computing domain. We are soliciting original contributions that have not been published and are not currently under consideration by any other journals. Both theoretical studies and state-of-the-art practical applications are welcome for submission. All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed and selected on the basis of both their quality and their relevance to the theme of this special issue. Original and unpublished works on any of the topics aforementioned or related are welcome. The SCPE journal has a rigorous peer-reviewing process and papers will be reviewed by at least two referees. All submitted papers must be formatted according to the journal's instructions, which can be found here.

Dr. Kavita Sharma is working as Professor in the Department of CSE at Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, India. She received her PhD in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, (Institution of National Importance) India, her M.Tech. in Information Security from GGSIPU, Delhi, India and B.Tech. in IT from UPTU, Lucknow, India. She has also been awarded a research fellowship from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology from the Government of India. She has more than 12 years’ experience in academia and research. She has 4 patents (1 granted and 3 published), granted 1 design, and published 7 books and 45 research articles in International Journals and Conferences of high repute. She is also served as Section Editor of for the journal Scalable Computing (SCPE). She is also serving with many other journals of repute in a variety of roles including: guest editor, editorial board member and as a member of the international advisory board. Dr. Sharma has also delivered guest lectures for the International Conference/FDP and is currently serving as a reviewer for Journals of IEEE, Springer, Inderscience and Wiley amongst others. She is a Senior Member of the IEEE, Professional Member of ACM, and Life Member of CSI, ISTE, IAENG and Institute of Nanotechnology, and Member of SDIWC, Internet Society, IACSIT, CSTA, IAOE. She has actively participated and organized several International Conferences, Faculty Development Programs, and various National & International Workshops. Dr. Himani Bansal has done her Engineering from Rajasthan University in 2006 followed by a corporate experience with a reputed company for about two and a half years. Further to fulfill her academic interests, she completed her Masters and Doctor of Philosophy from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. Apart from enhancing her academics, she has served as Assistant Professor in various reputable Engineering Colleges and Universities. Currently, she is working with Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India as Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale). Over 14 years of accomplished career demonstrates her success with excellent academic record, extensive background of involvement in team building activities, effective communicator with excellent planning, organizational and negotiation strengths as well as the ability to lead, reach consensus, establish goals, and attain results. She has penned many research papers for various International Journals and Conferences. She also has books to her credit along with edited chapters in International book series. She is also awarded Eighth Annual Excellence Award in Research Journal Awards for the outstanding article by IGI Global for “Mitigating Information Trust-Taking the edge off health websites”. Dr. Loredana-Mihaela Stanciu received her PhD from Politehnica University Timisoara, Romania, in 2008. In 2001, she was hired as teaching assistant at the Automation and Applied Informatics Department, Automation and Computer Science Faculty of Politehnica University Timisoara and is currently an director and associate professor. She has been interested in areas such as risk and trust, social network, artificial intelligence, neural networks, embedded system, and affective computing. She He has published 35 articles, books and editorials in International Journals and Conferences of high repute including IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, ACM, Springer etc. She was the director or member of seven scientific projects. She also serves many reputed journals as guest editor, editorial board member, international advisory board member, and reviewer board member. Moreover, Dr. Stanciu  has also delivered the expert talk and served as a reviewer for Journals of IEEE, Wiley, Springer, Inderscience etc. She has an ardent inclination towards the field of AI & Risk. Dr. Tu N. Nguyen is an assistant professor and director of the Next-generation Computing and Network Systems Laboratory (Next-CNS) in the Department of Computer Science at Kennesaw State University, Georgia, USA. He has published 2 book and 100+ publications in leading academic journals and conferences. His research has been supported by grants from US National Science Foundation, US Department of Energy, and SunTrust Banks Inc. He has engaged in many professional activities, including serving as Editor/Guest Editor for international journals such as an Associate Editor of IEEE Systems Journal, Associate Editor of Journal of Combinatorial Optimization, Associate Editor of IEEE Access, and Technical Editor of Computer Communication as well as serving as the Guest Editor of many academic journals such as IEEE Transaction on Computational Social Systems, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Internet of Things Magazine, and IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Magazine, and so on. Dr. Keping Yu received the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. He was a Research Associate, Junior Researcher, Researcher with the Global Information and Telecommunication Institute, Waseda University, from 2015 to 2019, 2019 to 2020, 2020 to 2022, respectively. He is currently an associate professor at Hosei University and a visiting scientist at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project, Japan. Dr. Yu has hosted and participated in more than ten projects, is involved in many standardization activities organized by ITU-T and ICNRG of IRTF, and has contributed to ITU-T Standards Y.3071 and Supplement 35. He received the IEEE Outstanding Leadership Award from IEEE BigDataSE 2021, the Best Paper Award from IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine Award 2022 (1st Place Winner), IEEE ICFTIC 2021, ITU Kaleidoscope 2020, the Student Presentation Award from JSST 2014. He has authored more than 200 peer-review research papers and books, including over 70 IEEE/ACM Transactions papers. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, and IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences. He has been a Guest Editor for more than 20 journals such as IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, and Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews.
