Welcome to SCPE
Scalable Computing: Practice and Experience enters in 2009 in its 5th year of existence as SCPE and in the 10th year as continuation of Parallel and Distributed Computing Practices (PDCP) journal.
The first 5 volumes have been published by Nova Science Publishers under the PDCP brand in printed version, while the next 4 volumes were sustained by published by Warsaw School of Social Psychology, Poland, only as electronic journal, as an expression of the current tendencies in digital libraries. The electronic journal is currently published by West University of Timisoara, Romania, with the support of highly-devoted international editorial team.
The Editorial Board of the original PDCP and later SCPE was constantly growing to support the increasing number of papers published by the journal. More information about changes that took place can be found in the Editorial published in SCPE 6(1) and SCPE 9(4).

- Special Issue on Parallel, Distributed and Network-based Processing: an Application Perspective
March 5, 2010: SCPE is planning to publish a Special Issue on Parallel, Distributed and Network-based Processing. The aim of this special issue is to provide an up-to-date view of different aspects of parallel, distributed, grid and cloud computing, focusing on advances in scientific and engineering applications, and on software tools and environments, architectures, models and algorithms on which the applications are built.
- Special Issue on Grid Computing and its Applications
February 11, 2010: SCPE is planning to publish a Special Issue on Grid Computing and its Applications. This Special Issue will be based primarily on extended and modified versions of papers accepted for two Workshops organized within the framework of the PPAM’2009 Conference. In an effort to broaden the scope of the Special Issue, we would like to invite submissions of additional papers matching one or more topic of either Workshop.
