Contributions are accepted for review on the understanding that the same work has not been published and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Technical reports can be submitted. Substantially revised versions of papers published in not easily accessible conference proceedings can also be submitted. The editor-in-chief should be notified at the time of submission and the author is responsible for obtaining the necessary copyright releases for all copyrighted material.
We would also like to invite organizers of conferences/workshops of potential interest to the SCPE readers to submit calls for papers for their events. Please contact the editor-in-chief about the details.

The language of the journal is English. SCPE publishes overview papers, research papers, short communications, book and software reviews. Only electronic submissions are possible. Submission for refereeing should be performed via e-mail in PDF format. Send your contribution to .
A 50-100 word abstract should be included with overview and research papers.
Submitter can provide keywords associated with his article. This keywords will be used in our Subject Index. If possible, please, use keywords from it.

Overview papers summarize historical developments, state of the art and current research directions of selected subfields of parallel and distributed computing. There is no a priori length restriction. The papers should be submitted to the editor-in-chief, Dana Petcu. Each overview paper appropriate to the journal will be refereed by a minimum of three referees.
Research papers are limited to approximately 20 pages. They should be submitted to the member of the Editorial Board whose research interests match the subject of the paper. Each paper appropriate to the journal will be refereed by a minimum of two referees. Refereeing form for research papers.
Short notes are not to exceed 5 pages. They should be submitted to the editor-in-chief
The authors will be required to prepare the source text in LaTeX using the journal style file (based on the SIAM style:
zipped tarball, 30 KB). Figures must be prepared in Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) and appropriately incorporated into the text. The bibliography should be formatted using the SIAM convention. The source of the paper should be merged in one file. The source file should contain only ASCII symbols. All diacritics should be TeX-encoded.
Book reviews and editorials that do not contain complicated objects (pictures, tables, diagrams) can be prepared as a plain text or in OpenDocument format (ISO/IEC 26300:2006). Please, do not use the Microsoft Word format. Authors are strongly encouraged to use Docbook format for source submission of editorials and book reviews.
